ET Phone Home.

I know it's early to send an update, but when you read this, please pray! The three of us ran into some trouble at the Atlanta airport. We arrived bleary-eyed at around 9 a.m. for our noon flight. Two of us checked in with no trouble, but Christina arrived to find that her reservation was in the system, but that she apparently had no valid ticket number. Alas, whatever happened to the days when you just bought an actual ticket?

After more than two hours (yes, that's right, TWO HOURS?!) at the check-in desk, on the phone with her travel agent and the airline and anyone else we could think of, the wonderful Delta agent Michelle let her on the flight anyway. Of course, by this point, our flight had already boarded. She walked us to the security desk, but the small matters of a knife in Julia's carry-on and a ziplock bag of 3 oz. liquids in my carry-on combined to slow us down. We bravely told Christina to run on ahead. I made it through next, followed shortly by Julia. Of course, our gate ended up being the very last one in the long, long terminal. Picture me tearing down the terminal at full-speed, backpack on back, nalgene bottle bouncing around, lugging a carry-on suitcase. But we made it! All three of us. We're now at JFK for four hours, trying to sort through the issues with Christina's ticket and could use some divine intervention.

Thanks for the prayers!
