i have recently become facinated by the connection of the stem to the back of the flower - expecially orchids lately. they do show such a fragile connection and almost silent beauty.
I agree, the stem is beautiful. It's exactly the attachment that made me think of fragility....you should come visit during the monsoon here. Orchids everywhere.
